Birds and chicks can be the most fun and exciting pets. Taking care of one, however, may be a bit messy. These animals are a wee bit smaller as compared to a cat or dog. Cages are the most common way that chicks are kept. These must be cleaned and well stocked with food trays and water. Chick seeds in shapes of bells and other various objects can be purchased to keep them busy. Also mirrors are great for your chick. They love to look at themselves. You almost wonder if they think that there is another bird in their cage. At night a nice light blanket will shield the light so that your chick can get some rest. Make sure the bottom of the cage is lined with a newspaper or rubbish that you can change daily.
